Under the auspices of prof.Dr. El-Sayed EL-Kady, the university president and prof.Dr. Hesham Abu El-Enin, the vice president of post-graduate studies and research, Benha University holds, on Sunday 19-2-2017, a workshop bout the Egyptian Knowledge bank at the conference hall in the faculty of commerce. This workshop is held in cooperation with the Digital library unit of the supreme council of the universities, the publishers, the companies which participate in the Egyptian Knowledge bank. The workshop is held in the presence of prof.Dr. Osama Hamed, the deputy of the faculty of arts, prof.Dr. Nasser EL-Gizawy, the deputy of the faculty of agriculture and prof.Dr. Khalid Eid, the deputy of the faculty of arts. 

The American writer Marisa Silver stresses that she was surprised by the Egyptian students' passion of curiosity and that contradicts what the American people know about the Egyptians. This statement concurs with her visit to Benha University and having a meeting with prof.Dr.El-Sayed eL-Kady, the university president in the presence of the several students and the faculties' members of the English language department from the faculty of arts and the faculty of education. Marisa Silver adds that she visits Egypt from 11-2-2017 to 17-2-2017 where she participates in Cairo literary festival, attends two literary soirees and visits Cairo University, Ein-Shams University and Benha University. She also says that she pays a great attention to women issues and the hard circumstances that women live in. 

Prof.Dr. Hesham Abu EL-Enin, the vice president of post-graduate studies and researches states that prof.Dr. EL-Sayed EL-Kady, the university president, approves on a two-week extension period for funding the research projects starting from Sunday, 19-2-2017. Such decision is taken upon a meeting with the young researchers during a workshop in the faculty of veterinary medicine. Prof.Dr. Maher Hasb El-Naby, the university president chancellor of scientific research says that there are 45 researchers, from nine faculties in the university, who apply for such event. He also adds that this two-week extension period aims at letting the researchers being funded. It is important to say that the fund is about 200,000 L.E. for the single research project and there should be no less than 10 competitively-chosen research projects that have to be funded. 

Prof.Dr. Hesham Abu El-Enin, the vice president of post-graduate studies and research states, in the meeting of the supreme committee of the international ranking on Wednesday 15-2-2017, that it has been approved, Under the auspices of prof.Dr. El-Sayed EL-Kady, the university president, to open the door to apply for the fourth round to win the international publishing and citations awards for one month starting from Sunday, 19-2-2017. Prof.Dr. Maher Hasb El-Naby, the university president chancellor of the scientific research says that the faculty's members can apply for this round via an application that is available on Benha university portal. 

“Yes, Egypt can” initiative in Benha university will held a diverse carnival including the Volunteering and Service activities in order to reinforce the concept of the Volunteering work in addition to maintaining strong link between the university's students and the students' activities. The carnival also includes the explanation the different students' activities and getting to know how to spend the leisure time positively and effectively. 

In Benha university's leaders council, Prof.Dr. El-Sayed El-Kady, the university president and the head of the council honors the students of the faculty of nursing who participate in the activities in the second forum for the stduents of the faculty of nursing in the Egyptian universities that is held in the University of Assiout from 29-1-2017 to 2-2-2017. The university president honors the supervision team- prof.Dr. Mahboba Sobhy abd El-Aziz, prof.Dr. Hend abd- Allah El-Sayed, prof.Dr. Eman Sobhy and Mr. Ali Kamal Ali, the youth care supervisor. The honoring ceremony is attended by prof.Dr. Gamal Ismail, the vice president of community service and environment development, prof.Dr. Hesham Abu EL-Enin, the vice president of post-graduate studies and research, prof.Dr. Howyda abd EL-Hamid, the dean of the faculty of nursing, prof.Dr. Ahmed Rashad, the supervisor of the council secretariat and prof.Dr. Khalid Esawi, the general coordinator of the students activates in Benha University. 

Rawan Ashraf, the student at the faculty of engineering and the assistant secretary of the sport committee, wins the first place and obtains the gold medal at the swimming contest. This contest is held in Aswan on Monday, 30-1-2017 and there are 135 players who participate in the contest around the Egyptian universities. Benha University also congratulates the student on her great accomplishment wishing her more success and prosperity in her life. 

Prof.Dr. Hesham Abu EL-Enin, the vice president of post-graduate studies and researches states that the period of presenting the competitive research projects of the young Researchers will be extended to the fifth round in the middle of February 2017. This bulletin aims at helping the researchers and gives them an equal chance to fund their research project. 

Prof.Dr. El-Sayed EL-Kady, the university president meets with several faculties' members and teaching assistants during a workshop. This workshop was moderated by prof.Dr. EL-Sayed Fouda, the dean of the faculty of law, prof.Dr. Mahmoud Mansur, the faculty of law deputy of community service and environment development and prof.Dr. Khalid Eswai, the coordinator of the student activities. They discussed many topics like, the importance of supporting the scientific and applied research to solve the society problems and other- higher education related issues. 

The technological innovation and entrepreneurship center announces the Egypt Innovate ICT Award to be given to the innovators in technology and communications. This award is in the frame of the continuing initiatives of the center to support the innovation on the part of individuals and companies. The deadline is 10-2-2017 on Friday.
